Why is my Codex weekly limit at 0% when my 5-hour limit still has usage left?
Because the limits are separate. You can still have plenty left in the 5-hour window while the weekly allowance is exhausted. The exhausted weekly allowance becomes the blocker.
What matters
- Work and Codex usage can be governed by both shorter and weekly usage windows.
- An available banked or purchased reset may refresh eligible windows, depending on the offer shown in your account.
- Purchased credits, when available, can let eligible usage continue after included plan limits are reached.
What this means in practice
Check Settings → Usage. If the weekly line is exhausted but the 5-hour line is not, waiting for the 5-hour reset will not solve the weekly cap. Look for credits, a reset option, an upgrade option, or the stated weekly reset time.
