What happens when my Codex weekly limit resets?
Your included allowance becomes available again. If you also have purchased credits, the included plan allowance is used first and the credit balance remains available for later eligible usage.
What matters
- Included allowance and purchased credits are separate.
- Credits are used after included usage is exhausted.
- A purchased or banked reset can change the date of the next weekly reset.
What this means in practice
After a normal weekly reset, check Settings → Usage before buying anything else. You may find that your regular allowance is sufficient again and your existing credit balance can stay untouched as a reserve.
